About me

I earned my B.A. in Journalism with a concentration in New Media from Baylor University. As an undergraduate, I discovered my passion for media effects research as an assistant in the Film and Digital Media Lab, where I aided in data collection for studies on the psychophysiological effects of virtual reality.

As a graduate student at Penn State, I currently work as a research assistant in the Media Psychology lab group directed by Dr. Mary Beth Oliver, where we are currently studying the effects of exposure to uplifting media messages. My current research interests include the psychological effects of virtual environments and exploring how video games and XR can be used to improve users’ health and well-being.

In my spare time, I enjoy weightlifting, backpacking in new places, and (surprise) playing video games.
